BREAD AND SALT
director: Damian Kocur, production: 2022, Poland
One of the most famous Polish film debuts in recent years. Made in almost documentary poetics, played by non-professional actors and inspired by real events, the story about discovering one’s own identity and about the fact that the greatest problem of modernity is indifference, and opposition – a gesture of the highest courage. The film was shot, among others, in Strzelce Opolskie and Zabrze, but the moving finale resounds most strongly in the space of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice.
